Air to Air – TIFFS!

Having done quite a bit of air to air I’d never managed to capture a modern RAF plane until now. Like a 53 bus at Plumstead Common, you wait ages for one then two come at once!

I was lucky to be onboard with the Aviation Photocrew during the Royal International Air Tattoo in 2025.

Flying in the Skyvan, 2 Typhoon FGR4’s of 29 Squadron met us in the skies over the Cotswolds, north of Fairford as they arrived for the Royal International Air Tattoo. Led by Squadron Leader Nathan Shayer, then Tiff display pilot, we were treated to some expert formation flying.

Nathan showed us all his flying prowess over the display weekend with the most energetic Typhoon display I’ve ever seen the RAF put on! What a great way to start our A2A day!
